KBC: Afghan Koran burning at Bagram sparks fresh protests
23 Feb 2012 - At least four people have been killed and 20 injured in Afghanistan as protests spread over the burning of copies of the Koran at a US airbase.One person has been killed in Kabul, one in the eastern city of Jalalabad and two in Parwan province.

21 Feb 2012 - The director of a Mexican prison where 44 inmates were killed in a riot on Sunday has been sacked along with several other officials and 18 guards. The officials are suspected of colluding in the escape of 30 inmates, who broke out during the riot.
