Four suspects were arrested and three others escaped in Makutano area of Kirinyaga after they were found ferrying suspected donkey meat to Nairobi. The suspects slaughtered 30 donkeys in the wee hours and loaded the meat in two waiting vehicles. Angry residents intercepted the two vehicles loaded with the meat and arrested the suspects before setting one of the vehicles a blaze. And as Francis Mtalaki reports, one of those arrested confessed that the said meat was being transported to Burma Market in Nairobi.
