Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has called upon local and foreign agencies to join government efforts in the fight against climate change and its effects. Gachagua who spoke during the 45th Annual Lions Day celebrations at the United Nation's headquarters in Gigiri revealed that over 5.3 million Kenyans from 31 counties are affected by the current drought with the country having lost livelihoods valued at 187 billion shillings in the last year.
