DP Rigathi Gachagua urges farmers to sell their maize before imports disrupt prices

Farmers hording maize have been warned to sell their stock before the imports arrive in the country. President William Ruto says the government has authorized the importation of 4 million bags of maize which will be in the country two weeks from now. The president said farmers had been given a grace period of up to end of February to sell their stock and that window has now been closed.
