The education sector has received a lion’s share of the budget for the 2023/2024 financial year, receiving a total allocation of 628.6 billion shillings. this represents a 15 percent increase from the 544.4 billion shillings allocated to the sector in the previous budget. while unveiling the Kenya Kwanza administration’s maiden budget in parliament, treasury Cabinet Secretary Njuguna Ndung’u said that the government aims to enhance access to education and improve outcomes.
