Vegetable farmers in Gusiiland are set to benefit from a freezer donated by the Food And Agriculture Organisation FAO. Nyamira North Women Sacco members received the one point five million shilling vegetable freezer, which is expected to enable them to reduce losses suffered after harvests. An estimated 500 members who deal in Vegetable farming will benefit from the move. The Sacco plans to increase vegetable production to two point four tonnes, up from the current 800kgs that they sell while fresh.
