Iwajú: The Disney+ series set in a futuristic Lagos - BBC Africa
Meet the brains behind the new Disney series set in a sci-fi Nigeria, that has a certain 'Wakanda' feel.
A 2018 BBC interview propelled the pan-African creative team of @Kugalimedia into a collaboration with Disney.
The result? “Iwájú,” a six-episode animated series set a Lagos of the future.
As the series premieres, the filmmakers share their journey, the challenges of bridging tradition and progress, and the potential of “Iwájú” to empower African voices and bring about global understanding.
