Foreign Affairs Permanent Secretary Ambassador Kamau Macharia has attributed the numerous cases of mistreatment of migrant workers in the gulf states to the cultural differences between Kenyan migrant workers and their Saudi employers. Kamau who spoke during the induction of Members of the National Assembly, says that there is an urgent need for migrant workers especially those seeking household jobs to have the requisite skills and receive training on the cultural background of their employers. As Maryanne Nyambura reports, families continue to plead with the government to provide avenues to bring back home, migrant workers mistreated in the gulf nations.
