KCB Group acquires DRC's Trust Merchant Bank

KCB Group has added a third banking brand to its stable with the acquisition of the DRC’s Trust Merchant Bank this past week. KCB is expected to keep trust merchant bank as a distinct brand going forward just as it has done with the other recent acquisitions including the National Bank of Kenya and BPR Rwanda. KCB Group chief executive officer Paul Russo doubled down on the importance of retaining the former brands as a strategy to sustain the group’s growth in the new markets.
