Kenya has recorded a steady decline in malaria cases in the past decade, with the national malaria prevalence indicating a drop from 8% in 2015 to 6% in 2020, while the mortality rate has declined by 32% between 2019 and 2023. However, much more needs to be done according to the Kenya Malaria Indicator survey, which estimates that 3.5 million new clinical cases are recorded and 10,700 deaths occur due to malaria annually
