Kilifi governor Gideon Mung’aro is threatening to dump Shakahola bodies at the Kenyatta National Hospital over foul smell and huge electricity bills amounting to 36 million shillings. Mung’aro vowed to tow the two containers preserving bodies by Monday if the government fails to remove the bodies. According to him, the government failed to fulfil its promise to offset the bills yet over one year later only 34 bodies out of the 429 have been positively identified while 6 have been released to their families for burial.
