The national police service is on the receiving end for not doing enough to avert violence witnessed in parts of Kibra last night. Human rights defenders and religious leaders who visited areas affected by the chaos have blamed security officers for not acting on time to salvage the situation. Yesternight, there were reported cases of violence and arson attacks which affected businesses in many parts of Kibra. Among the places targeted were a church, a mosque, and shops within the Olympic area. In the mayhem which came after Azimio demos in the area, one person was also shot dead.
