President Ruto visited East Africa's largest electric motorcycle assembly plant in Industrial Area, Nairobi.
During the launch, Ruto said the main goal of the government is to create job opportunities for the youth. He went further ahead to add that his government will remove the 16%VAT on electric motorcycles.
Even the spare parts, batteries, and components needed for their manufacture will also be tax-exempt.
The president said, "We are on track to developing and implementing electric motorcycles that will provide affordable and eco-friendly transportation."
