The price of cooking gas in the country has increased by more than 30% in the last week with sector players blaming the weakness of the Kenyan shilling to the dollar for the price hike. A spot check by citizen tv revealed that a 6 kg cylinder of LPG which retailed at Ksh 1800 has shot up to Ksh 2600 in less than a week.
