Kina mama wamehimizwa kuwa mstari wa mbele katika juhudi za kurejesha misitu iliyoharibiwa na vilevile kuhifadhi mazingira humu nchini. Wakizungumza katika eneo la Kobujoi kaunti ya Nandi kwenye hafla ya kuadhimisha siku ya kina mama duniani, wale wanaoishi karibu na misitu walihamasishwa kuhusu umuhimu wa kupanda miti aina ya mianzi katika mashamba yao na hata ndani ya misitu ya Serikali ili kutunza vyanzo vya maji na pia kuwaendeleza kibiashara kutokana na faida ya miti hiyo. Kina mama hata hivyo wametoa wito Kwa serikali kutenga fedha zaidi ili kusaidia kulinda miche zilizopandwa hadi zinapokomaa.
