Wazee zaidi ya elfu mbili kutoka koo tisa za jamii ya wasamburu wamekutakana katika eneo la Yamo Samburu ya kati ambapo wamekubaliana kuwalaani vijana wanaotekeleza visa vya uhalifu katika eneo bunge la Samburu Magharibi. Wazazi wa vijana hao wahalifu watalaaniwa pia hatua kali zikichukuliwa dhidi ya wananchi wanaowaficha wahalifu vijijini. Hii ni baada ya visa vya uhalifu haswa mashambulizi ya wizi kuongezeka eneo hilo kwa muda wa miezi michache ambayo imepita. Aidha wazee hao wametoa wito kwa viongozi, serikali ya kaunti pamoja na serikali kuu kuwaunga mkono kwa kurejesha bunduki za polisi wa akiba katika juhudi za kuimarisha usalama eneo hilo.
