The New Development That All M-Pesa Users Need to Know About

The leading telecommunication provider in the country, Safaricom, has made a new development to its mobile money transfer process M-Pesa.

Safaricom has introduced M-Pesa on mySafaricom App where users access the services in a more efficient and convenient way.

Among the advantages of the app is that you are 100 percent sure of the transaction you intend to make and where your money is being transferred to.

By using M-Pesa on mySafaricom app, you can; search contacts on your phonebook, hence, no need to enter phone numbers manually or copy paste, you can easily search and confirm Pay Bill and Buy Goods Till numbers before making payments.

The app also allows you to confirm M-Pesa agent's name before completing your withdrawal and access your M-Pesa statement (Mini/Full) at the tap of a button.

It is important to note that the access and use of the app is free since data charges are not applicable.

All you need to do is download the app from Google Play Store, register and you are good to go.

At the same time, Safaricom has introduced the Jichanue Self-Service Tips initiative which is hassle-free and time-saving.

The self-service tips empower you to know about your prepaid or postpaid account details through your phone without having to speak to a Safaricom Customer Care agent for assistance.

Some of the tips include the M-Pesa Self Service where you get basic M-Pesa related queries by dialling *234# which is free and convenient.

Queries answered on this platform include; transaction fees for withdrawing and sending money, mini-statement with information on the last 5 M-Pesa transactions, information on M-Shwari among others.

Safaricom users can easily retrieve PUK numbers in case they block their SIM card by entering the wrong PIN for more than 3 times.

Also, you can report fraudulent messages from fraudsters who use a variety of techniques to try and steal personal identity information like your ID number or M-Pesa PIN, which might lead to loss of money.
