Govt defends signing of eight bills after online uproar

President William Ruto has defended the signing of the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes amendment and other seven bills into law. The president says the law that has however, been temporarily suspended by the High Court, is aimed at protecting the Population from cyber-bullying, religious extremism, and terrorism. He spoke during the burial ceremony of the father of Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja, Mzee Weston Kirocho Kanja in Laikipia County.
