Election protests continue in Tanzania as universities’ reopening postponed indefinitely

    Election-related protests continued to rock Tanzania for the second day, with major towns witnessing day-long running battles between protestors and the police. The Ministry of Education Science, and Technology in Tanzania announced that the opening of universities and mid-level colleges initially scheduled for November 3rd has been postponed indefinitely. Several people have been arrested with the dusk-to-dawn curfew still in force.
