IG Kanja says police recruitment aims to boost security ahead of 2027 polls

The recruitment had initially been halted by the Employment and Labour Relations Court after a petition challenged whether the mandate to recruit officers lay with the National Police Service (NPS) or the National Police Service Commission (NPSC).
