Firearm recovered in Huruma as police intensify security operations

The National Police Service (NPS) has announced the recovery of a firearm in Nairobi’s Huruma estate during a routine night patrol on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. Officers pursuing a suspicious individual managed to secure the weapon after the suspect dropped it while fleeing into a dark passageway. Crime scene personnel have since documented the firearm, which remains in safe custody as investigations continue to identify and apprehend the suspect.
