Kenha accused of undermining rural economy by Kileleshwa MCA

Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai has criticised the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) for allegedly undermining Kenya’s rural economy. His comments followed a statement by KeNHA on November 23, 2025, warning that sugarcane transportation on tractors posed a safety risk, especially at night, citing unroadworthy vehicles and faulty lighting systems. Alai dismissed these claims, asserting that KeNHA has failed in its mandate to construct and maintain safe roads nationwide.
