Ruto takes on Gachagua, urges focus on performance

In an all-out onslaught against his former Deputy Rigathi Gachagua, President William Ruto declared that he is now ready to ring-fence his support in the vote-rich Mount Kenya, ahead of the 2027 general election. Ruto, who spent his second day in central Kenya, Gachagua’s Nyeri backyard, warned the DCP leader against the continued campaign to discredit him in the mountain, reminding Gachagua that he solely marshalled the region to vote for him in 2022, almost to the last man. The president exudes confidence that his service delivery record is what shall earn him a second term next year.
