    The principal secretary for education Amb. Julius Bitok has announced that the government will extend the reporting of grade 10 learners to ensure no child is locked out. Speaking at the alliance boys high school where he assessed the admission process, Prof. Bitok urged parents seeking transfers to take their children to the schools they've been called to, adding that the selection process was done in a transparent manner and took into consideration learners ' needs. The ministry has also pledged to engage the teachers service commission to hire more teachers for technical subjects like woodwork, committing to ensure all pathways are fully provided for. The admission rate for c1 schools countrywide is at 91% so far, with the lower clusters reporting dismal reporting
