IOM Kenya says 100 human trafficking victims identified through Kenya Airways staff training

    The UN Migration Agency says 100 victims of human trafficking were identified over the past year thanks to a programme that trains Kenya Airways staff to spot suspicious activity. Sharif Faisal, Head of Programmes and Policy Development at IOM Kenya, says the initiative will be expanded to include staff from other airlines, as Kenya continues to serve as a regional travel hub. IOM Kenya adds that it is working with the Ministry of Labour to promote the adoption of its ethical recruitment initiative, IRIS, aimed at curbing unscrupulous recruiters in the country
