Alex Kipkirui, a resident of Borborwet in Belgut Sub-County, is being celebrated after emerging the best candidate at Borborwet Secondary School in the 2025 KCSE examinations despite having been out of class for ten years. Kipkirui suffered a spinal cord injury in 2015 while playing rugby at Kericho High School, an incident that forced him to drop out of school while in Form Four. For a decade, he remained at home.
