Hundreds of residents in Tanariver County are facing severe food and water shortage following inadequate rainfall in the area.Speaking after visiting the area to assess the situation, cabinet secretary for public service and special programs Geoffrey Ruku said the villages of Assa, Kone and Bombo are experiencing water scarcity following the drying up of all water pans and dams, forcing residents to walk for long distances in search of water.
