Meru County government has passed a legislation that will see miraa farmers benefit immensely in their business. This is after the enactment of the Meru County Miraa Promotion Act no.4 of 2025. The area Governor Rev. Isaac Mutuma said the enactment of the Act offers a critical lifeline to the region’s agricultural backbone, and emphasized that as an agricultural county, these deliberate legislative steps are designed to unlock the potential of the miraa sector.
