Imagine needing a haircut, but the barber has only a razor and no way to see clearly because there’s no electricity. For residents of Mashamba area in Malindi, that was their daily reality, until today. A government-funded electrification project has finally brought power to the community. Already, small businesses are operating longer hours, young people are learning practical skills, and families no longer have to end their day when the sun goes down.
