Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot and National Assembly Minority Leader Junet Mohammed have defended the government’s decision to privatise Kenya Pipeline Company and the sale of its shares at Safaricom. The duo pointed out that the sale is not the first to be conducted, saying that the previous government also sold shares of other Public corporations which are now doing well after privatization including Kenya Commercial Bank and Ken Gen. This comes after Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro criticized the sale of Kenya Pipeline Company citing undervaluation, lack of competitive bidding.
