A section of Stakeholders in the fishing sector in Kwale County are opposing a public participation exercise by the National Assembly Blue Economy Committee, seeking to address challenges affecting the fishing sector. Speaking in Tiwi, Matuga constituency, the stakeholders are raising concerns over the process of collecting views, arguing that those invited to present their views were not representatives of those in the fishing sector within the county. They now want the committee to involve the fishermen, who they argue understand the challenges affecting the sector.
