The Law Society of Kenya President Faith Odhiambo says she has reconsidered her reservation on her appointment to the panel of Experts on the Compensation of Victims of demonstration to ensure the over 100 families who lost their loved ones during protests get justice. Speaking after the pane’s swearing-in, Odhiambo maintained that the process should go beyond compensation to address justice that will ensure the perpetrators of the heinous acts are prosecuted. And as Abdiaziz Hashim reports, the 18-member panel appointed by President William Ruto, will now start assessing claims by the affected families.
