Female students of Islamic studies have been challenged to participate in local and international Quran recital competitions. The call was made by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Kenya, Saad Abdullah Alnofaiam, during the closing ceremony of the National Quran competition 2026. Over 40 male students were feted for outstanding recitations and memorization.
