Kisii Governor wants President Ruto to join ODM

ODM deputy party leader Simba Arati has continued with his charm offensive to president William Ruto, asking him to rejoin the orange party in his second stab at the presidency. Speaking at a meet and greet the people tour in Kisumu, Arati recalled the 2007 pentagon formation, as he dangled the orange to the head of state, saying the party will form government in the next general elections. The Kisii county boss also called on all grassroot supporters of ODM to remain steadfast saying that the party will find its footing after the demise of Raila Odinga. The sentiments come amidst tensions within the party with a section of members pushing for the continuation of the broad based arrangement with others proposing to field a candidate in the 2027 polls.
