Health professionals in Gatundu south, Kiambu County are calling on their residents to observe healthier diets and increased work outs as well as early screening amidst a rise in lifestyle diseases in the area. The calls came during a free medical camp at Mama Ngina university where 70 percent of the attendees were diagnosed with diabetes, hypertension and other lifestyle-related conditions, raising concerns about eating habits and sedentary lifestyles. Locals were further urged to embrace traditional diets rich in organic foods, greens and white meat to reduce the risks of the lifestyle diseases.
