Security officers in Matungu, Kakamega County, have seized more than 30 tonnes of suspected stolen fertilizer from a homestead in Eshirumbwe village, Idangalasya. The fertilizer was allegedly being repackaged into bags for transportation and subsequent sale in shops before the night time swoop by police halted the plan of the four suspects who are now in custody.
