Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja is on the spot after repeatedly ignoring invitations to appear before a parliamentary committee to respond to queries on police reforms, dysfunction at the National Police Service Commission due to lack of quorum, and rising unease among officers over payroll mismanagement. The IG did not appear before the National Assembly Constitutional Implementation and Oversight Committee on Tuesday, leading Members of Parliament to issue further summons demanding his appearance on Tuesday, September 16 2025.
