Police launch security operation in Nairobi CBD following rising cases of mugging

Police have launched a security operation within Nairobi Central Business District in the wake of concerns over increased cases of muggings. Interior CSKipchumba Murkomen speaking in Bungoma during the Jukwaa La Usalama meeting revealed plans are underway to reshuffle the current police officers as well as address the security gaps. This comes as Nairobi Central sub-county police commander Philemon Nyakombo said they have arrested several persons suspected to be behind the muggings in the capital city.
