Teen suffers complications in botched Mathare surgery, KMPDC probes

Officials from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) are investigating an incident in which a 17-year-old girl was left with severe wounds in what is suspected to be medical negligence at a private hospital in Kiamaiko, Nairobi's Kariobangi estate. The girl has since been admitted to Kenyatta National Referral Hospital for further medical care. The hospital has denied any responsibility.
