Health authorities in Laikipia County have confirmed that two suspected Ebola virus cases tested negative. One of the cases was a patient at Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital while the other one was from a private health facility. And even as the county urged residents to remain calm, the Ministry of Health is keen on enhancing the response capacity of Counties to Ebola outbreak. At a meeting with the Council of Governors, gaps in isolation facilities, emergency medical supplies and disease surveillance were identified for remedial action.
