Wanyonyi settles for bronze as Kenya miss out on gold

Kenya’s hopes of winning gold at the inaugural World Athletics Ultimate Championship were dashed after Olympic champion Emmanuel Wanyonyi finished third in the 800 metres final in Budapest, Hungary. Wanyonyi, who has dominated the race in recent competitions, was relegated to third by Algeria’s Djamel Sedjati and Canada’s Aaron Ropele.
