Nation bids farewell as Raila Odinga laid to rest at Kang’o ka Jaramogi in Bondo

Tonight, we begin with the final farewell to former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga. The former Premier was today laid to rest at his father’s home in Kango, Ka Jaramogi, during an emotional private ceremony attended by close family members and a select group of guests. President William Ruto led the nation in paying tribute, as Raila was interred at the family mausoleum in Nyamira village, Bondo, Siaya County. The late Raila was accorded full military burial honours, including a 17-gun salute as Mama Ida Odinga was formally presented with the national flag that had draped her husband’s coffin
