The national Treasury and the Unclaimed financial assets agency are set to appear before the national assembly finance committee to justify a legislative proposal that seeks to give claimant power to designate the payment of a claim to another person. The MPs stood down the management of the unclaimed financial assets agency after they failed to defend the government bill. The MPs now want Treasury to appear alongside the agency to clarify the import of the unclaimed financial assets amendment bill that is currently being considered by the national assembly.
