US Ambassador to Kenya, Meg Whitman, has officially submitted her resignation to outgoing President Joe Biden. A prominent businesswoman and billionaire, Whitman made history as only the second woman to hold the position of US ambassador to Kenya. Her resignation comes just ahead of Donald Trump's inauguration as the 47th president of the United States in January 2025. the embassy will now be under the leadership of charge d’affaires Marc Dillard
