Ruto pledges to connect 16,000 Kitui households to electricity as county hosts Mashujaa Day

Kitui County played host to this year’s Mashujaa Day celebrations, held under the theme “Transforming Lives Through Sustainable Energy Solutions.” But even as President William Ruto led the national festivities in their backyard, many Kitui residents remain literally in the dark as they are yet to be connected to the national power grid. The President has now pledged to connect 16,000 households to the grid within the next three months
