Regional Centre on Small Arms member states have been challenged to bolster efforts to combat proliferation of small arms and light weapons. Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi says the unregulated flow of illicit arms, remains a thorn in the flesh for governments in their efforts to enhance regional peace and development within the Great Lakes Region and the Horn of Africa. Mudavadi who is also the Acting Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration, spoke during the opening of the 15th Regional Centre on Small Arms Technical Advisory Committee meeting in Nairobi.
