Former cabinet minister Peter Oloo Aringo has been eulogized as the architect of Kenya’s current political and governance structure during his tenure as a member of parliament. Speakers at his funeral led by National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula said Aringo was bold in confronting parliamentary capture by the Executive of late President Daniel Moi that completely changed the relationship between the Legislature and the Executive.
