As the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence continue, more women-led groups are stepping up to raise their voices. The Amina Myren Foundation organized a community walk in Kiserian, Kajiado County, which concluded with an energetic football match involving local youth. The foundation's founder, Fatima Higander, led the team in sensitizing the community about the importance of addressing gender-based violence. During the event, the Kajiado Women Representative emphasized the critical need for respecting women's rights. The local leadership, including the area chief, has agreed to collaborate on efforts to combat these issues. Other speakers at the event called for an end to Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in the community, highlighting the urgent need for change. This event is part of a larger movement to promote awareness and advocate for change in our communities.
