At least 79 people have died from an unknown disease in the Democratic Republic of Congo. According to the country’s health ministry the illness is causing flu-like symptoms and the majority of those who have died are teenagers. Response teams have been sent to the country’s Kwango province to collect samples and investigate the nature of the disease which is currently affecting around 300 people.
