The Kenya National Examination Council has announced it will for the next three years offer a mid year KCSE exam to allow those who would want to get the certification before the end of the 8-4-4 system. The KCSE exams will be offered for the last time in 2027 marking the end of 8-4-4 as the CBC system takes over fully. At the same time the ministry says it is ready for the transition of grade nine learners to senior school next year.
